Felicity Jones was born in the UK and is most well-known as the actress who appeared as Jane Hawking on the critically-acclaimed film The Theory of Everything. Jones started acting when she was twelve years old. She's been an actor in a variety of dramas, TV series, and film. Her first role was in the film on television The Treasure Seekers. She then played Ethel Hallow in The Worst Witch, and the follow-up Weirdsister college. Her first feature film Flashbacks of a Fool (which she starred in), Young Ruth, she went on and acted in various other movies. In films such as The Invisible Woman and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 she gained fame for her role. It was, however, the performance she gave in The Theory of Everything that brought her an Oscar for the very first time. Jones was praised by both critics and audiences for portraying Hawking's former wife as she appeared in The Theory of Everything, a Stephen Hawking biopic. Inferno featuring Tom Hanks was next on her resume. It was the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles awarded Jones with the British Artist of the Year in the year 2016 because of her outstanding talents and contributions to the film.
